Elect Ken Bryant Symmes Township Trustee
Hello. My name is Ken Bryant and I am running for Symmes Township Trustee on November 3rd. When I ran for office four years ago I told you what I found wrong with the township and what I would would change if elected. I have kept my promises and now that I have 4 years of township experience, I am asking you to re-elect me to the same office.
Some of the things I have accomplished in the past 4 years are:
* Saved Taxpayer Dollars
* Saved $1.1M on the Rozzi Purchase price alone
* Pursued Grants for all or parts of specific projects
Reduced Symmes controlled Tax levy amounts
Proposed Utility Aggregation for future savings for residents.
Long Term Planning
Completed Township 10 year Master Plan
Initiated Park Master Plan
Improved Safety and Infrastructure
Improved roads and Sidewalks
Put an additional Symmes Police car on the road
Purchased new Fire Pumper, Ambulance, and Police SUV
Protected Park Funds and Green-space
Returned $165,000.00 to the Park fund from the donation of park lands to ODOT for Montgomery Road Widening
Returned $13,000.00 to the Park Fund by reducing the purchase price of the land from Union Savings Bank.
Reduced the number of parking spaces in Blong Memorial Park for use by Union savings Bank from 50 to 40 to 34 spaces. Purchased the Rozzi property after the voters approved a specific levy to fund that purchase. This kept the property from being annexed and becoming a commercial or industrial park. Meeting agendas are now on the web site prior to the meeting. Meeting re-caps are on the web site within 3 days of a public meeting. Provided streaming video of Trustee Meetings and Hearings for those residents without Cable TV. I want our residents to have ample opportunity to be informed and participate in issues that impact the Quality of Life in Symmes Township Enhanced Township Communications
